Security operatives in Kaduna have arrested a suspected bandit, identified online as Sule Yellow, who gained notoriety on the social media platform TikTok for allegedly flaunting kidnapping operations and ransom money during livestreams.

Sule Yellow attracted widespread attention after appearing in a TikTok livestream that went viral on March 4. In the video, he was seen alongside another suspected bandit, known as Auta, and other members of their gang. During the livestream, the group allegedly spoke openly about their activities and boasted about carrying out kidnappings.
A video circulating on X showed Sule Yellow in handcuffs while surrounded by soldiers who questioned him about weapons reportedly belonging to the group. The footage also shows security operatives displaying a polythene bag believed to contain ransom money allegedly recovered from a kidnapping operation linked to the gang.
Before his arrest, Sule Yellow had been very active on TikTok, showcasing the activities of bandits. On March 4, he reportedly appeared on a livestream alongside another suspected bandit, identified as Auta, and others. Sources said security operatives tracked his activities before moving in to arrest him.
After the arrest, authorities also disabled the TikTok account linked to him. It added that “the security forces have since disabled his account after the arrest was made”.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement detailing the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
The development comes amid intensified military operations targeting armed bandit groups responsible for attacks on communities and kidnappings for ransom in several parts of Nigeria.
