Marburg virus alert: “Avoid unnecessary travels”, FG tells Nigerians

The Federal Government has urged Nigerians to avoid non-essential travels to locations where the outbreak of the Marburg virus disease (MVD) has been reported for the time being. This advisory, among others, is coming from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as the Ghanaian authorities declared an outbreak of the MVD, which was confirmed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the 17th of July 2022.
