The Senate of the University of Abuja has appointed a 41-year-old Professor of Law, A’isha Maikudi, as the institution’s acting Vice Chancellor. Maiku?i, a Professor of International Law, is also the youngest professor of law in Nigeria. Maiku?i, who is the university’s current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics,  was announced as the Acting VC after her nomination at the valedictory Senate meeting held on Wednesday, according to a statement by the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah. The University of Abuja branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has begun an indefinite strike to draw attention to developments bordering the union. The union announced its decision to embark on the strike yesterday, at the end of its congress, held at the permanent site of the institution. Kidnappers, bandits ‘ve taken over UniAbuja, VC cries out

The Vice Chancellor of University of Abuja, Prof. Abdul- Rasheed Na’Allah revealed that bandits and kidnappers have taking over the campus.
