Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday signed the document to formally annex four Ukrainian provinces occupied by Moscows troops. Putin said the regions of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson are now part of Russia, during a televised ceremony in the Kremlin.
