FG commissions electric vehicle charging station in Lagos

The Federal Government has commissioned the first solar-powered electric vehicle charging station at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). The project is the initiative of the National Automotive Design and Development Agency, (NADDC), under the Elective Vehicle Pilot Project. Lagos to introduce buses to replace bikes, tricycles plying inner roads next week

The Lagos State government has announced that it would launch buses to replace motorcycles popularly known as okada and tricycles known as Keke to ply inner roads in the State. The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has proposed N205 billion as capital budget for 2021 to enable the ministry make significant progress on all its ongoing projects. Amaechi made this known in a statement during his presentation before the Joint Committee of the Senate and House of Representatives on Land and Marine Transport in Abuja.
