The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has accused President Bola Tinubu of appointing persons believed to be corrupt into leadership positions. Nigeria and other sub-Saharan countries have bottomed the latest (2022) Corruption Perception Index (CPI) report by Transparency International. Nigeria drops 5 places to rank 154 on Corruption Perception Index

The 2021 Corruption Perception Index, (CPI), published by Transparency International, (TI), has revealed that Nigeria dropped five places. In the index released yesterday, which was made known by the Executive Director, CISLAC, Auwal Ibrahim Rafsanjani, during a press conference in Abuja, TI and Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre, (CISLAC), indicated that Nigeria ranked 154 out of 180 countries.
