No fewer than 60 people have been recovered from the scene of the tanker explosion at Dikko junction along Abuja /Kaduna  expressway, Gurara local government area of Niger State, while injuring several others. An unspecified number of people died on Monday in a fuel tanker explosion at Igbelajewa Village, along the Ilesha-Akure Expressway, Osun State. The incident occurred when a truck carrying diesel lost control, spilled its content and caught fire. At least seven vehicles, including an 18-passenger commercial bus, were razed in the incident. Twenty-three people, including seven school children, have died in a fuel tanker fire accident which occurred at Felele area of Lokoja,Kogi, in the early hours of Wednesday. The State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Idris Ali, who disclosed this in Lokoja, said the seven school children comprised 10 male adults and six female adults. At least 20 persons were reportedly burnt to death when a tanker laden with petroleum product exploded around Koko Junction section of the Benin/Saepele Expressway in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
