Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the immediate implementation of all outstanding promotions for civil servants in the state. The governor announced the approval at a meeting with the organised labour and its affiliates on Monday in Lafia. The governor’s decision followed the request by the leadership of the union that outstanding promotions from 2018 to date be implemented before payment of the new minimum wage of N70,000. Palliatives Diversion: Nasarawa Assembly probes govt. officials

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has set up a 7-man committee to investigate the alleged diversion of palliatives by government officials and stakeholders in the state. The House charged the committee to ensure that all those involved in diverting palliatives meant for the poor of the poorest are punished according to the laws of the land.
