The South-East socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Ifeanyi Ararume and Margaret Okadigbo into the Board of Directors of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited. Abia community bans consumption of cow meat

IPOB declares another sit-at-home on September 14

The proscribed separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has declared another sit-at-home for Tuesday, September 14. IPOB’s Director of State, (DOS), said the sit-at-home directive was to remember those killed in Afaraukwu, Abia State, in 2017 by the Nigerian military during ‘Operation Python Dance’. According to IPOB, Nigerian soldiers had in 2017 desecrated the traditional stool of Afaraukwu.
