In the last three weeks, Gastroenteritis, otherwise known as Cholera, has killed 39 people in 18 out of the 23 local government areas of Sokoto State. The Commissioner for health in Sokoto state, Ali Inname has disclosed that 23 people have died of gastroenteritis in the State. Gastroenteritis, also known as stomach flu, is an intestinal infection marked by diarrhoea, cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever.
