Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), in Zamfara State have rescued the four remaining students kidnapped from the Federal Polytechnic, Ƙauran-Namoda. According to the DSS, the rescue was carried out late Wednesday through an intelligence-led operation, and that no ransom was paid. It said one of the abductors was arrested during the raid, but that the others did not survive. Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 17 Brigade have rescued Mrs. Abubakar, widow of the Late Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted by bandits shortly before the retired senior military officer died in captivity.
