Kano: Ganduje appoints Kwankwasos father kingmaker in new emirate

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has appointed the father of the former governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Musa Saleh-Kwankwaso, as s kingmaker of the Karaye Emirate Council.  According to reports, the former governor, Kwankwaso, a long-time political ally-turned rival to Ganduje, is known to have opposed the creation of the four new emirates in the State and subsequent dethronement of the former emir, Muhammadu Sunusi II, who he appointed in 2014.
