EFCC grills Rabiu Kwankwaso over alleged diversion of N10bn public funds, abuse of office

Former governor of Kano State and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, was interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), for several hours yesterday over alleged non-remittance of N10 billion pensions fund. The fund was said to have been misappropriated during his tenure as governor between 2011 and 2015. A property located in Kano belonging to the former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been sealed off by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC). The Commission also sealed another property belonging to a senior lawyer, Barr. Saidu Tudun-Wada, on Ahmadu Bello Way, in Kano metropolis. The father of former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Musa Sale, has died at the age of 93. The Principal Private Secretary to the former governor, Mohammed Inuwa, who confirmed the death to newsmen, said the traditional ruler died after a brief illness in Kano. The Late Musa Sale, who was the Majidadin Karaye and district Head of Madobi, left behind 2 wives, 19 children (9 male & 10 female) and many grand-children.
