Court vacates interim forfeiture order against Ekweremadu’s seized property

A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, set aside the November 4, 2022 interim forfeiture order on 40 landed property linked to Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice. Justice Inyang Ekwo, in a ruling, said he had found that the application for forfeiture filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was not brought in good faith and ought to be struck out. Kano fire service saves 132 lives, N16.5m property in October

The Kano State Fire Service says it saved 132 lives and property worth N16.5 million in 41 fire incidents in the state in October. The Public Relations Officer of service, Saidu Muhammad, said this in a statement in Kano.
