Gunmen have released six abducted students and two members of staff of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, in Kaduna State, after 28 days in captivity. According to reports, both the abducted teachers and students were released on Thursday night. Recall that gunmen, on June 11, invaded the main campus, better known as “UPE”, and kidnapped six students and staff. However, a student reportedly died during the attack. The management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, in Zaria, Kaduna State, has announced the indefinite suspension of academic activities following the recent attack on the institution by suspected bandits. The institutions’ Information Officer, Mahmud Kwarbai, broke the news in a statement yesterday. Recall that on Thursday, a student was killed in an attack by the gunmen while 10 people, comprising eight students and two lecturers, were abducted. Some unknown gunmen have abducted a lecturer and two children of a member of staff of the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, in Kaduna State, on Saturday.
