Tinubu removes Bello-Koko, appoints ?antsoho as NPA MD

President Bola Tinubu has sacked Mohammed Bello-Koko as the managing director (MD) of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and appointed Abubakar ?antsoho as his replacement. Bello-Koko was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2021 as acting MD, and his appointment was confirmed in February 2022. The tenure of NPA MD is five years. Alleged Corruption: EFCC report indict NPA MD, Mohammed Koko over money laundering

An investigative report released recently by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), have allegedly found the Managing Director of the NPA, Mohammed Bello Koko,  guilty of being involved in N829 million fraud through kickbacks and money laundering activities.
