The Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, has disclosed that he is not expecting returns from any police officer, charging them to be diligent in the discharge of their constitutional responsibility. A notorious cult gang, led by wanted kingpin 2 Baba, have killed a Divisional Police Officer, Bako Angbanshim, in a gun duel in Ahoada-East local government area of Rivers State. Kaduna-Abuja highway: Special Forces eliminate bandits as Buhari orders re-inforcement

Following President Commander in Chief of Nigeria’s Armed Forces Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, special forces have eliminated a number of bandits laying siege at the Kaduna-Abuja highway. The Federal Government has ordered re-inforcement, additional equipment and increased surveillance amid national outrage over kidnappings and killings in the North-West region. Nigeria Police begin 2020 recruitment exercise, tell persons with bow legs, knocked knees, others not to apply

The Nigerian Police Force announced Saturday that online applications for enlistment as constable will begin on Tuesday 14 July. Its portal www.policerecruitment.gov.ng will remain open till 23 August. Interested applicants for the 40,000 vacancies, according to an advertisement signed by DCP Frank Mba, must have National Identity Number (NIN). They must have five credits in WASSCE or NECO, GCE or NANTEB, at not more than two sittings. They must also be between 17 and 25 years.
