Niger state governor, Moh’d Umaru Bago has ordered the arrest and detention in Minna of an  All Progressives Congress (APC) polling unit mobiliser in Magajiya Ward, Suleja local government area, Abdullahi Hamisu, after the man protested the lack of electricity and water supply during Eid-el-Fitr on March 20. Niger state governor, Mohammed Bago, has given a two-month notice to people living in hamlets around Kainji Lake to vacate the area to avoid collateral damage, as his administration, in collaboration with the Federal Government, was determined to clear the forest.
