NiDCOM, CAROPI collaborate on incarcerated Nigerians abroad

Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) and the Counselling and Rehabilitation of Prisoners Initiative (CAROPI), an NGO, have pledged to collaborate in assisting Nigerians in the Diaspora who were victims of wrongful incarceration. The two organisations announced their commitment in a statement signed by Gabriel Odu of NiDCOM’s Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit. Killings: Stop sending your children to schools in northern Cyprus, FG warns parents

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has warned Nigerian parents against sending their children to universities in Northern Cyprus over the incessant and mysterious killing of Nigerians. 87 stranded Nigerians return home from Sudan

At least 87 Nigerians stranded in Sudan amid the coronavirus pandemic have returned home, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has said. Announcing via Twitter on Saturday, NIDCOM said the evacuees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 09:15 am via Air Sudan. The returnees, who tested negative for Covid-19 before departure, are expected to self-isolate for 14 days according to the protocol of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. They are also expected to take another Covid-19 test before rejoining society.

COVID-19: FG evacuates 6,317 Nigerians from 21 countries

Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the Federal Government has so far evacuated 6,317 Nigerians back home on account of the Coronavirus pandemic.
