Reject non-viable loan requests, Atiku tells NAssembly

Former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has asked the National Assembly to reject the approval of any new loan request meant for projects that are not viable. Atiku said that he cannot sit and watch the government of President Muhammadu Buhari squander the future of Nigerian Youth as well as generations yet unborn with loans that are not income-generating or production-based. National Assembly Service Commission appoints acting clerk

The National Assembly Service Commission said it has named Ojo Amos Olatunde as Acting Clerk. His appointment is coming a day after the commission queried Mohammed Sani-Omolori for refusing to retire as clerk after 35 years in service. The commission had on Wednesday directed that those, who had attained the age of 60 or 35 years in service should proceed on compulsory retirement.
