Lagos: Sanwo-Olu, Tinubu unveil multi-billion Naira fly-over bridge

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday officially commissioned the 1.4km dual carriageway Flyover Bridge in Pen Cinema Junction, Agege. This is part of the effort by the State government to reduce the gridlock and improve the traffic situation on that axis. During the commissioning of the project, Sanwo-Olu said that the flyover would reduce travel time and save man-hour that would have been otherwise lost to traffic on the road. Lagos shuts 103 health facilities

The Lagos Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency, (HEFAMAA), has disclosed that 103 health facilities were shut down across the State in 2020 for non-compliance with regulatory standards. The Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Abiola Idowu, who disclosed this on Friday during a virtual meeting with the agency’s  staff, however, stated that some of the facilities had been re-opened, having corrected the infractions and pledged to abide by set standards. Fake Covid-19 test result certificates on sale in Lagos – LASG

The Lagos State government yesterday raised an alarm over fake COVID-19 certificates on sale in the State. The State’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed this at a press conference to give an update on the second wave of the virus in Lagos, saying it has come to the attention of the government that a number of people who came into the country were patronising individuals who sell fake COVID-19 results certificates. Lagos govt. orders private, public schools to vacate today

The Lagos State Government yesterday, ordered all private and public schools in the state to vacate by Friday, December 18, 2020. This was contained in a statement signed by the Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni. Lagos pays N1.3bn to another set of retirees

The Lagos State Government has paid more than N1 billion into the Retirement Savings Accounts of 246 retirees in the state’s public service for October. The Director-General, Lagos State Pension Commission, Mr. Babalola Obilana, made the disclosure in a statement yesterday, in Lagos.
