National Bureau of Statistics, (NBS), says the average retail kerosene price of a litre increased from N1,329 recorded in January 2024 to N1,340 in February 2024. The Bureau said this in its ‘Petrol Price Watch’ report for February 2024, released in Abuja yesterday. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said the price of household kerosene was up by 118.08% in twelve months. According to the Bureau, in its document titled: “National Household Kerosene Price Watch (September 2022)“, the price rose from N434.39 in September 2021 to N947.30 in September 2022. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says the average price per litre paid by consumers for household kerosene increased to N400.01 in August from N397.34 in July. A report obtained from the NBS’s website on Friday, said the kerosene price increased by 0.67% month-on-month and by 15.43% year-on-year in the period under review. It said that States with the highest average price per litre of kerosene were Enugu, where residents bought the product at N494.05, Ebonyi, N489.17 and Cross-River, N487.50.
