Attack on Imo Police headquarters repelled – Police

The Nigerian Police have reportedly foiled an attack on Imo State Command and killed no fewer than five gunmen yesterday. This tragic incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPPRO) in the State, Bala Elkana. According to Elkana, the attackers arrived at the police command in a white Hummer bus in the early hours of yesterday. Ahmed Gulak, has been shot dead by gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Some unidentified gunmen have razed down a Magistrate court, the High Court and a Divisional Police station in Atta community, Njaba local government area of Imo State.
