Kaduna State High Court has dismissed another bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufa’i, in the criminal case brought against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC). Justice D. H. Khobo, in a ruling delivered on June 29, 2026, turned down el-Rufa’i’s third request for bail, which was based on medical grounds. El-Rufa’i is currently facing prosecution by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over allegations of financial impropriety and abuse of office during his tenure.
