Demands probe A Civil Society Organisation (CSO), the National Observatory, has picked holes in the recent procurement of a three billion dollar Emergency Crude Repayment Loan from the Cairo, Egypt-based, African Export-Import Bank (Afrexim Bank) by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited, (NNPCL). President of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), Comrade Igho Akeregha, has condemned in strong terms another hike in the pump price of fuel barely months after the removal of fuel subsidy forced millions of Nigerians into poverty. This follows yesterday’s report that a litre of fuel, which sold at between N560 to N537 since the administration pronounced removal of subsidy, has jumped to between N617 N700 without notice amid the return of long queues at filling stations.
