Capital importation into Nigeria fell by 31% to $6.7 billion in 2021, from $9.68 billion in 2020, according to the Capital Importation Report for the Fourth Quarter of 2021 (Q421) released by the National Bureau of Statistics, (NBS), on Wednesday. The report shows that the three components of capital importation recorded a decline in 2021. Nigerias capital importation drops by 77.8% in Q2 – NBS

Capital importation into the country declined by 77.8 percent in the second quarter of 2020, a new report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has shown. The total capital imported into the country in the second quarter stood at $1.29 billion, down from $5.85 billion in the first quarter. This figure represents the lowest recorded since the first quarter of 2017 when the total capital imported stood at $908 million.
