BON cautions FG on sale of spectrum to telecom operators

Aminu Imam The Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) has cautioned the government to halt the sale of the spectrum primarily allocated to broadcast organisations to telecom operators because of the devastating effects the sale will have on future development of television and radio in the country. The Nigerian Elections Debate Group, (NEDG), and the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria have postponed a presidential debate earlier scheduled to hold today, Thursday, January 26, 2023. The judges’ panel for The Nigerian Broad­casting Awards (TNBA) has received a total of 471 entries across 12 awards categories. This was disclosed in an issued state­ment by the Steering Commit­tee of TNBA, headed by the President, Silverbird Group, Guy Murray-Bruce.
