The 10th House of Representatives is considering a Bill to separate the offices of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) from that of the Minister of Justice. The Bill, co-sponsored by two Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers, Mansur Soro (Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency, Bauchi State) and Oluwole Oke (Osun) is receiving legislative input from the House Committee on Constitution Review, chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu. Kaduna loses former Attorney General

The death has occurred of Barrister Rabo Barde a former Attorney General and commissioner of Justice in Kaduna State. The deceased was also former Commissioner Legal services, State Independent Electoral Commission and Peoples Democratic Party PDP Legal adviser. Barrister Rabo Barde died in his bed while recovering from an undisclosed ailment on the January 3rd 2022 aged 72. He is survived by five children and four Grand children.
