A former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, and former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim are meeting with President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa. Both figures were prominent critics of the APC leading up to the 2015 elections. Metuh was a key voice for the opposition when the All Progressives Congress (APC) ended the PDPs 16-year reign in 2015. PDP reverses suspension of Ortom, Fayose, Anyim, others

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has squashed the suspension slammed on Governor Samuel Ortom, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, former Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and others. This was made known in a statement yesterday, by the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Debo Ologunagba. The leadership of the PDP also reversed the suspension order on former Governor Ibrahim Shema (Katsina). Pius Anyim yesterday stated that he will run for the position of President in 2023, whether the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP zones its presidential slot to the South-East zone or not.
