Many villagers were feared killed, while several others injured, when a fighter jet targeting Lakurawa terrorist group mistakenly bombed two communities in Silame local government area of Sokoto State. According to local residents of Silame, the affected communities were Gidan Sama and Rumtuwa, located close to Surame Forest, which is identified as another hideout of Lakurawa and bandits. Army claims responsibility for air strike in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army has taken responsibility for Sunday’s Air Strike that left many villagers killed and several others injured at Tudun-Biri village in Kaduna State. Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole has knocked out more hideouts of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, killing scores in Borno, Defence Headquarters says.
