The Supreme Court slated Monday, October 23, for hearing the appeal by former Vice-President Abubakar Atiku, challenging the judgement of the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC), which upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
Recall that in a judgement delivered on September 6, 2023, the PEPC dismissed the joint petition filed by Atiku and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.
