As the debate for the reopening schools rages with some state shifting from the January 18, 2021 directed by the Federal Government, Kaduna State where schools are still closed gets Thursday 21st January and Monday 25th tentative dates for reopening.

The two dates were arrived at the end of a marathon meeting in Kaduna between the state ministry of education and school proprietors.

The meeting had in attendance the Commissioner of Education and the Permanent Scretary of the Ministry, Commissioner for Health among others.

The two dates suggested by the stakeholders are to be submitted to the State Deputy Governor Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe who is the State Chairperson of Covid-19 Task Force to decide.

Kaduna is among the state that refused schools re-opening on January 18th in line with the Federal Government directive as announced by the Minister of Education Adamu Adamu.

The state has come under serious criticism for the decision, with the public asking if covid-19 exist only in academic institutions as virtually all other sectors are operational.
