The Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos, Alhaji Aminu Yaro, and his wife Hajiya Sa’adatu Aminu Yaro have slammed a N10 billion damage each against the Department of State Service, (DSS), over breach of their fundamental human rights.

The case, brought before the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, by the Sarkin Hausawan, which was adjourned to the 7th of August 2023, came up at the court on Monday, with the plantiff’s Counsel, Joseph Daudu (SAN) slamming the N10 billion damage each for Yaro and his wife for illegal detention by the Service, thereby infringing on their fundamental human right.
Recall that the Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos was arrested last month and by the Department of State Services (DSS, in order to allegedly implicate the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
After filing the Motion, Joseph Daudu said they now await the decision of the court to fix at date for the continuation of the case.
