Ramalan to launch ‘Liberty for Women and Children Initiative’ NGO to partner with UN, others  

To promote women, youth participation in politics, deepening democracy and good governance

Founder of LibertyTV and RadioFM Stations, Alh. (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, has announced that he would soon be working with a team of Women from the United Nations (UN) and others to launch the  ‘Liberty for Women and Children Initiative‘, (LWCI), a community-based non-governmental organisation.

Dr. Ramalan disclosed this in a press statement issued yesterday.

According to Veteran Broadcaster, the Initiative will focus on promoting, assisting and canvassing for socio-economic benefits for the less-privileged women and vulnerable children, promoting communal love and peaceful co-existence, encouraging women and youth empowerment through participation in politics, especially as Nigeria prepares for the 2023 general elections.

“The Initiative has been registered and would have  a solid structure in each geo-political zones of the country”. 

“The LWCI is intended to be a structure for good governance and deepening of democracy in the country and it is determined to play a significant role, especially in educating women and youths on the importance of their votes in the next general elections in 2023”, he stated.

“We are also leveraging on the use of technology to train women and youths on ICT”, he added.

According to the Founder, the formal unveiling of the action plan would be announced soon.
