Executive Chairman Liberty TV/RadioFM stations, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, has expressed his sympathy with the family of the administrator of Kaduna Capital Territory in the 1960s, Alhaji Abbas Dabo Sambo.
In an issued statement to newsmen yesterday, Ramalan, who was a former Chairman, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA), said, With total submission to the will of Allah (SWT), the family of Alhaji Tijjani Ramalan mourns the death of Alhaji Abbas Dabo Sambo, a Kaduna State respected elder and an accomplished retired civil servant.
He further said, I met him sometime in 1966 as a young man, when some of the family of members of my father relocated from Port-Harcourt to Kaduna as a result of the Araba Crisis, as he was then the administrator of the Kaduna Capital Territory. He gave all of us comfort during our most traumatic and difficult times.
“On behalf of my Family I extend my condolences to his family. May Allah (SWT) grant him Jannat-ul-Firdaus and forgive his sins”.
Verily we belong to God, and verily to Him do we return. It reminds us that their death has been decreed by Allah, and we will all return to our creator.
May Allah envelope our elder, Alhaji Abbas Dabo Sambo, mercy and forgiveness; Ameen. May Allah reunite him with his friend – my loved father – in Jannah; Ameen.
May Allah grant ease to the hearts of his family and the People of Kaduna-North local government area, and Kaduna State, who grieve his loss; Ameen.
