In a solemn statement issued on behalf of the management and staff of Liberty TVR, Dr. Ramalan described the death as a profound loss, not only to the el-Rufa”i family, but also to all who knew and respected the matriarch for her virtues, humility, and devotion to family and faith.

He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWA), in His infinite mercy, forgives her shortcomings, accepts her good deeds and grants her eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.

He further urged the bereaved family to take solace in the will of Allah, noting that death is an inevitable passage for all believers.

Ramalan also called on friends, associates and well-wishers to stand in solidarity with the el-Rufa’i family during this moment of grief, offering prayers and support as they navigate this painful loss.

“Indeed, the Holy Qur’an reminds us in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:156): ‘Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un’—From Allah we came, and to Him we shall return,” he said, emphasising the importance of faith, patience, and submission to the divine decree.

He concluded by praying that Allah grants the entire el-Rufa’i family the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
