The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State, Oluwatoyin Babalola, has reported that the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has recorded a 97% success rate in the Ondo State Governorship election, which took place yesterday.

Babalola, who disclosed this to newsmen yesterday, while monitoring the election at some centres in Akure, the State capital, was accompanied by the INEC National Commissioner, Kenneth Onyeakwu, and the State Police Commissioner, Oladipo Abayomi.
According to Babalola, the election has been running smoothly, adding that polls were opened very early with impressive voter turnout and expressed confidence that the election will be concluded without issues.
