Backlash has trailed the appearance of newly branded Tinubu 2027 campaign vehicles after a viral video surfaced online showing customised Hilux vans and a Hummer bus being test-run and displayed.

According to a video shared on social media, which has been widely shared across X and Instagram, shows the vehicles neatly parked as a group of men inspected and moved them around.
According to the clip, the vehicles were allegedly distributed to different states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
However, the development has set the social media abuzz, especially as many Nigerians say the country is battling worsening insecurity, kidnappings, and economic hardship.
Online commenters slammed the move, describing it as insensitive, and accused political actors of prioritising election campaigns over citizens’ safety.
The video has continued to generate heated debate, with many insisting that leaders should focus on restoring security rather than rolling out campaign machinery two years ahead of the polls.
Some of the netizens’ reactions read: @Danielregha: “A govt. that values re-election over protecting the lives of the masses. No surprises here; it’s a very normal thing for this govt.”
@Sizzzle: “I like how they are all branded. Makes it easy to identify for stoning by angry citizens when elections start…”
@Eze: “I will keep saying it: Tinubu is more interested in winning election in 2027; so whatever hardship or insecurity you’re going through in Nigeria is not his business”.
@mezie: “Country is bleeding and Tinubu is branding 2027 campaign buses. He hasn’t been able to protect citizens in his current mandate, and he wants another mandate”.
@Nkeiru: “Amid everything happening in Nigeria today, this is what matters most to them”.
