‘Nigeria needs prayers’ – President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and stability.

Buhari made the call in his address at the 70th anniversary of the Islamic Qadiriyya sect yesterday in Kano.

Represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Sabo Nanono, the president said prayers would foster unity and help crush security challenges. The Nigerian leader urged the youths to use federal government empowerment programmes to learn trades and become self-reliant and commended the Qadiriyya leader, Sheikh Nasiru-Kabara, for his support and spiritual intervention over the years.

The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Sa’ad Abubakar, and the Emir of Kano, Aminu Bayero, urged Nigerians to live in peace and continue their supplication for the nation.
