The Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association, (NBMOA) have praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for retaining Idris Mohammed as the Minister of Information and National Orientation, following the recent cabinet reshuffle.
Chairman, Board of Trustees Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association, NBMOA, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan announced this in a statement yesterday.
NBMOA Chairman, Alhaji Ramalan expressed his appreciation for the decision, stating that it reflects the President’s commitment to the continued growth and development of Nigeria’s information industry.
Ramalan noted that the President’s decision was based on his interest in the development of the Nigerian Media industry and the hard work of the Minister.
He highlighted Idris’ leadership as instrumental, saying it is still the one driving progress in the sector despite the present numerous challenges affecting the industry.
“His pro-active engagement with the industry stakeholders, his focus on the activities and programmes of the Federal Government as well as his commitment to its success have restored confidence back to the Ministry of Information.
Ramalan emphasised that these efforts align with President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda, adding that NBMOA would continue to support Idris’s innovative initiatives.
