Two years into his tenure as Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has received high praise from Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, former Chairman of the Kaduna State APC Caucus, for what he described as a transformative leadership rooted in compassion, reform, and inclusive governance.

In a powerful mid-term review issued on Friday, Ramalan, who is also the Executive Chairman Liberty Radio and Television Group, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association (NBMOA), applauded Governor Sani for reversing what he called “anti-people, high-handed policies” of previous administrations.
He credited the governor with replacing fear-driven governance with a people-first approach that emphasizes healing, inclusion, and deliberate development. “Undoing the ugly past, building a people-first future”, Ramalan stated, summing up the essence of the administration’s achievements.
The former Kaduna State APC Caucus Chairman highlighted the administration’s success in restoring peace and stability across the state, especially in previously bandit-stricken rural communities. According to him, Sani’s collaborative security model – featuring federal forces, local vigilantes, and traditional rulers – has enhanced intelligence sharing and helped reclaim lost territories.
Ramalan also praised the governor’s political maturity, citing Kaduna’s transformation into a model of ethnic and religious harmony. “Dialogue, not division, now defines governance in Kaduna”, Ramalan declared.
The statement listed notable accomplishments over the past two years, including: Education: Renovation of public schools and improved teacher welfare
– Agriculture: Support programs for smallholder farmers.
– Healthcare: Expanded rural clinic access and maternal outreach.
– Youth Empowerment: Digital skills training, business incubation, and employment initiatives.
– Good Governance: Emphasis on public accountability through town halls and participatory budgeting.
– Economic Appeal to the Federal Government.
Despite these gains, Ramalan acknowledged the strain of nationwide economic hardship, amplified by inflation and subsidy cuts. He joined Governor Sani in appealing to the Federal Government to implement urgent relief measures such as: Subsidized food and medicine;Expanded social safety-nets; Targeted employment programmes and Currency and inflation control policies.
“Kaduna is rising again—not through fear and force—but through dialogue, empathy, and deliberate development”, Ramalan concluded, urging continued citizen support and national solidarity.
As Kaduna celebrates the milestone, the former APC leader called on the federal authorities to adopt Gov. Sani’s ‘peace-first’, people-focused governance model for broader national healing.
