Liberty TV’s Khadija Bawas bags Journalism award

Broadcast Journalist, Khadijah Ishaq Bawas, of LibertyTV Kano, has bagged the Pan Atlantic University, (PAU), School for Media and Communication’s ‘Solution and Data Journalism’ Award.

Khadijah Bawas bagged the award for her excellent reporting on need based communities while proffering ways out in her report. 

The Award ceremony, which took place yesterday at Omu Resort, Lekki in Lagos, also recognised other outstanding Journalists in the category of: “Most consistent reporter,” “Highest number of articles,” and “Best report – female category“. 

An elated Khadijah, while receiving the award, said, “It is a huge honor for me to receive this award. I am deeply honored for this recognition of my work”, and pledged that, “As a Development Journalist, Inshaa-Allah, I will continue to work and strive hard for the betterment of the society”. 

Earlier in his remarks, the Director, Professional Programmes School of Media and Communication Studies, Isaac – Ogugua Ezechukwu, said the gathering was to reward those that have turned in outstanding reports that made impact in the lives of the people, after undergoing the data and solution journalism programme at the beginning of the year.

He commended the resilience of participants and their commitment in the course of putting up their reports, as he urged them to continue being good ambassadors of the school and the nation at large.
