Katsina massacre: ”Go after assailants” – Tinubu orders security agencies

Tinubu orders

President Bola Tinubu yesterday ordered security agencies to go after terrorists who killed about 26 villagers in Katsina State on Sunday.

Terrorists had reportedly raided Dutsin-Ma and Kankara local government areas of the State and reportedly killed 26 people after an attack occurred on Sunday, in Gidan Boka village.

The Police had said bandits, armed with dangerous weapons, attacked Gidan-Boka village, killing 20 villagers and injuring two others. The bandits reportedly killed five more people while escaping through Ɗan Nakwabo village.

But reacting in a statement issued by his spokesman yesterday, Tinubu strongly condemned the recent spate of attacks against citizens in Dutsin-Ma and Kankara local government areas of the State.

While describing the latest attacks as grisly and sinister, the President emphasised that more would be done to secure citizens and completely degrade terrorists as well as other harbingers of death and sorrow in any part of the country.

Tinubu directed security agencies to go after the assailants and ensure that they were brought to justice.

The President condoled with the families of the deceased, as well as the government and people of Katsina State, and prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.
