Armed bandits causing mayhem in parts of Katsina State have attacked the ?an-Ali, a community in ?anmusa local government area of Katsina State, affecting several mosques.
It was gathered that the assailants carried out the heinous attacks yesterday, while worshippers were observing the Juma’at prayers.
According to reports, the bandits, who were wielding dangerous weapons invaded the community and started shooting sporadically, chasing worshipers away from the mosques.
It could not be ascertained at the moment how many residents were kidnapped by the daredevil criminals during the incident.
Efforts to reach the Katsina State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, could not be reached.
