…Reaffirms state’s diversification drive
Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has been conferred with the title of: ‘Life Patron of the Nigeria Entertainment and Economic Roundtable’, at its third edition held in Abuja.

The event, themed: ‘The Urgency of Recognizing Tourism, Culture, and the Creative Sectors as Pathways to Rapid Economic Diversification and National Security’, brought together policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to examine the role of the creative economy in driving national growth.
Represented by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology, the governor used the platform to restate his administration’s commitment to economic diversification through innovation, tourism, culture, and youth empowerment.
In the address, emphasis was placed on Kaduna’s non-kinetic approach to security—focusing on inclusive governance, job creation, and skills development as sustainable solutions to insecurity. The state government highlighted key strides, including the operationalisation of its Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, improvements in ease of doing business, and ongoing efforts to strengthen the hospitality and tourism sectors.
The keynote address was delivered on behalf of the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, by Rear-Admiral O. A. Bankole (rtd), who outlined federal strategies aimed at enhancing peace and national security. The roundtable also drew international participation, with delegates from the embassies of Qatar, Israel, and Liberia, reflecting growing global interest in Nigeria’s creative and economic sectors.
Speaking at the event, industry stakeholder Chucks Akamadu commended Governor Sani for promoting unity and stability in Kaduna State, attributing recent gains in economic growth and public confidence to his inclusive governance style and peace-building initiatives. A citation recognising the governor’s leadership and innovative governance approach was read before the conferment ceremony.
The Kaduna State government reiterated its commitment to strengthening partnerships, driving innovation, and implementing policies aimed at positioning the state as a hub for enterprise, inclusive growth, and sustainable development.
