…To rejig, rebrand, with new structure, action plan, aims and objectives

The Kaduna Restoration Group, (KRG) has undergone a significant transformation, rebranding itself as a non-combatant group and announcing a new partnership initiative with the Kaduna State Government, State Assembly, National Assembly members, and stakeholders across the State.

In an issued statement in Kaduna  yesterday, the New KRG, which has a new Executive Committee under the Chairmanship of Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, Dr. Epraim Goje – Deputy Chairman and Major Shinku (rtd) as Secretary-General, said it is ready to tackle critical challenges facing Kaduna State and Nigeria. These challenges include security, economic issues, and political concerns.

The aim of the Group, it stated, is now to deploy intellectual Resources to Deepen Democracy, Good Governance, Rule of Law, Security, Peace, Unity and Development in Kaduna
Specific Objectives to achieve t

“This aim include, but not limited, to: Promote transparency, probity and accountability in the governance process at all levels of society in Kaduna State; To provide platform for robust, and objective discourse on key issues of the State, Zonal and Regional in National development.

Others are: “To promote the tenets of peace and mechanisms for conflict management between Government and the Governed and in the various communities at large; To support the policies of government through well-researched and evidence-based policy input and recommendations; To undertake studies and research and publish their outcomes for the benefit of Kaduna State through media partnerships.

Also, “To build bridges across the various socio-cultural divides that currently characterize Kaduna State political, social and economic landscapes;”To engage on any other issues that seeks to promote, security, peace, unity, State, zonal, regional, National Integration and Good Governance”.

The KRG also stated that it would kick-start series  of physical and online Dialogues at the State and zonal levels on National issues of Topical Concerns to Kaduna State such as: the Insecurity, Ongoing Constitutional process on State Police; Change from Presidential to Parliamentary System; Local Government Autonomy; New States Creation: Fuel Subsidy Removal, 300% Hike in Power cost; Constituency Projects; Better System of Palliatives to Nigerians, Drug Abuse, etc”.
