Kaduna State government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Sabon-Garin Nasarawa-Tirkaniya, a suburb within Kaduna metropolis, located in Chikun local government area.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, made this known in an issued statement today, in Kaduna.
Aruwan revealed that the curfew was imposed in the area following a breakdown of law and order, which led to the killing of two people in a clash by two gang groups.
The Commissioner also said security agencies had been directed to enforce the curfew in the area to restore order as investigations were on-going.
Furthermore, Aruwan urged citizens to strictly observe the curfew in these locations, which takes effect immediately.
Further updates, he said, will be communicated accordingly.
