Bandit-terrorists responsible for the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna-bound train, yesterday, released a picture of a newborn baby that was delivered by a pregnant woman among the women that they abducted on March 28.

The woman, who was reportedly eight months pregnant when she was kidnapped alongside others by the bandits, was reported to have given birth a few days ago in the den of the terrorists.
Of the 63 abducted train passengers that are in captivity, only one passenger, the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), Alwan Hassan, was released after paying a ransom of N100m.
The bandits are said to be demanding the release of their commanders in exchange for the kidnapped victims. The picture of the new girl was released by the terrorist group suspected to be Ansaru, a breakaway group of Boko Haram, on Wednesday evening.
Two days ago, the news of her birth began trending on both social media and the conventional media, where a family member of the woman first hinted that she had delivered at the weekend, though the identity of the newly-born child was not disclosed until Wednesday, when the terrorists released the picture of the baby girl.
Covered in a thick pink dress and a light lemon sweater cap, with her eyes closed, she looks healthy and well taken care of.

In a related development, the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), in Kaduna State has said that 30 Days after the train attack, it’s high time the government rescue innócent Nigerians from captivity.
The CAN Chairman, Kaduna State chapter, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, in an issued statement yesterday, said since the attack, it is now 30 days of agony, sleepless nights, lamentation, shedding of tears, and psychological anguish for the victims, the members of their immediate and extended families, people of conscience, and many well-wishers.”.
“Sadly, despite acknowledging the misfortune caused by the attacks by those responsible for protecting lives and property, the head of the ministry responsible for rail transport has not shown enough empathy towards families, or made plausible efforts to actualise the freedom of the abducted from the terrorists”.
“Consequently, CAN Kaduna State frowns at the way these families have been left on their own, especially the lack of adequate and encouraging proof from the government and the agency responsible for rail transportation to douse their fears”.
“Accordingly, CAN is calling on the Federal Government to give definite marching orders to the security agencies to go out there and rescue the 17 women, 4 children, and 41 males, held hostage, whose photos the terrorists have disrespectfully sent out to the world”.
“We also wish the terrorists to realise that Nigerians want all the 62 people in captivity back home safely to their families, not their pictures. The terrorists should present any grievances they have directly to the government and stop inflicting pain on innocent Nigerians who are out seeking daily bread”, he said.
