The Attorney-General of the Federation, (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, (SAN), has refuted a confessional statement of a suspect arrested in connection with the invasion of the Abuja home of Justice Mary Odili, of Nigeria’s Supreme Court.

The AGF made the refutal in a statement issued yesterday by his media aide, Dr. Umar Gwandu, while reacting to a confession of a suspect during interrogation in the investigation of the recent invasion of the residence of the Supreme Court Justice.
The AGF stated that with all the competent, high-level professionals and capable human resources available at his disposal, that “it only takes the imagination of the evil minds to assume or think that the AGF and Minister of Justice will descend so low to engaging a quack or fake Police officer to serve as his consultant”.
“It is our desire and we hope that the investigation would also disclose those after the AGF, those dragging his personality, his name, and his exalted office in the dirty politics of disrepute. This is an orchestrated attempt to stir unnecessary controversies and public apprehension”, Malami lamented.
“We boldly and unequivocally challenge the fake consultant/police officer to come out with answers or responses to these questions to the general public”, the AGF stated.
This is coming just as the Nigeria Police yesterday paraded one fake Chief Superintendent of Police, (CSP), Lawrence Ajojo, and 14 other criminal suspects including some members of other law enforcement agencies, who allegedly invaded Justice Odili’s house in Maitama, Abuja.
Parading the suspects at the Force Criminal Investigation Department(FCID), Area 10, Garki, Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, said the suspects involved in the criminal acts were drawn from different professional backgrounds, notably, journalism, banking and law enforcement.
In a chat with newsmen, the fake CSP, Ajojo admitted that “he’s not an officer of the Nigeria Police.” He, however, claimed to be a consultant for Malami but insisted that the AGF did not direct him on the failed raid on Justice Odili’s House.
