Famous Hausa actor, Usman Baba Pategi, popularly known as Samanja, has died.
According to sources, Samanja died in early hours of Sunday November 12, at garden city hospital in Kaduna after prolonged illness.
Although, his family is yet to officially speak on his demise, it was gathered that his funeral will take place later today, Sunday, at Jaafaru estate Juma’at mosque, Kabala Costain, Kaduna.
He was aged 81 and is survived by two wives and 14 children.
Samanja was a retired Nigerian soldier and worked with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Kaduna broadcasting station for several years.
